Wrote a manuel on how to run a speakers bureau (1995) which was later adapted and made the official How To guide published by California's Positively Speaking Program (1999, Ventura County Office of Education).

HIV and preventing disease transmission educator since 1991, trained in age appropriate curriculum for all age groups and business types.
Positively Speaking instructor trainer for a variety of agencies and certified by the CA State Dept. of Education. 1992-98.
American Red Cross CPR and first aid workplace safety instructor for lay rescuers from 1998-2004.
Teen babysitter trainer and adult child care instructor since 1999.
Upgraded Red Cross instructor authorization to CPR for Professional Rescuers in 2004 and then cross-trained to become a BLS instructor for AHA and ASHI.

A. Austin Amerine Retreat Center. Board Member since 2006 and Treasurer since 2007. Don & his partner Mel are building their ranch home next to the retreat center to help bring it into existence.
AIDS Interfaith Network of Sonoma County. Co-founder and Board member, desktop publisher and co-creator of a monthly interfaith liturgy. 1994-96.
Internet junkie. Since 1997 Don has created 1000+ webpages on many topics including family history, health education, eastern religion and more. Most of his webpages receive top ten search engine rankings for their unique content and interconnectivity. His buddhist website alone averages 1300+ clicks a day.
Vermi-composter. Don has been raising earthworms (vermi) for composting since 2003 and is preparing to begin a new apiary business to raise honey bees on his Lake County ranch in 2008.

Kara Sanderson, Treasurer of Sebastopol, Don's sis. Kara has degrees in business and sociology, and is an independent beauty consultant.
